Youth in Action

BEACON — Bangladesh Emergency Action Against COVID-19 — emerged in the early days of the pandemic when young leaders across Bangladesh recognised the urgent need for coordinated, community-driven response.

What began as a grassroots network of volunteers quickly scaled into a nationally recognised effort, mobilising resources, information, and support to the most vulnerable communities at an unprecedented time.

Today, BEACON is evolving. Drawing on lessons from pandemic response and the power of youth-led organising, we are transforming into an international policy and advocacy think tank — one that centres voices from the Global South.
